Light, Rain in London, why we travel
So much to discuss for this long vacation that is just getting started. Even though it rained the whole time I was in London, I could have just stayed there and been happy. There is such an energy in that city. I talked to other travelers, had my dinner at Balans, and saw Priscilla before scurrying back to Paddington so I could sleep a bit before traveling on to Greece.
I must admit I did not bring my camera with me. There must be something psychological about it and this trip being my own.
But the moment I touched down after another long day of travel in Santorini, I remembered why I chose this as my birthday trip. The light and life is different hear. I am, staying at a beautiful place with 360 degree views of the water around us and the caldara that forms this beautiful Island.
Sunset last night was breathtaking. As was dinner. And that started with my favorite: Tazhiki sauce......the second favorite part of Greece behind the sun and sunsets.....
Today is quiet. I am relaxing. I have swum in the pool, eaten a nice lunch and read on my Kindle. Relaxation is starting to set in finally. As usual, it takes a few days before I feel fine with no plans and no agenda.
But, Come to Greece at some point in your lives. It is magical.....even on the third trip here.

Just started the Pat Conroy novel that you recommended in a previous post. Only into the 3rd chapter...but am enjoying it very much. Your London part of the trip sounds enviable. So glad that you live in the moment and nothing is wasted on you.
Before we reach September, I want to wish you an Irish Birthday Blessing.
Know that you have heard it before...but its always good to take in again.
Come back safe and revived.

May you live a long life
Full of gladness and health
With pockets full of gold
As the least of your wealth
May the dreams you hold dearest
Be those which come true
May the kindness you spread
Keep returning to you.
Gosh, Thank you.
It has today finally become a relaxing trip.
I Wish I could sing back at you.
Your Celtic verse is perfect.
Love, and Forgive.
Even When you need both

Lori Yates
Thank you Lori: We still need to catch up in Salt Lake or Seattle one day.
I am home.
I would have blogged more, but broke my computer the first week and decided it was the universe telling me it was finally time not to work or email or "e" anything for once on my trip.
I have lots to say, but, besides not being able to wait to get back to my own bed, I love the sun and I love the sun in Greece. What a trip. Thank you for everyone who was patient while I was away, for my business partners' picking up the slack and for the luck in my life to see the world repeatedly from different points of view and to see how truly human we all are.
Life if sweet and rich and imperfect.
Here is one more clap to the universe and sunset for having lived another day and for the beauty that surrounds me.
Rob
